Fergus, the highland bull lives about 4 minutes down the road from me in Windwhistle. I would drive past him and admiring him almost everyday. I finally got the courage to ask the owners if I could photograph him, and I am so glad I did. He is a beauty!

I am a warm weather person and I get so excited to see the flowers beginning to bloom in my garden.

These stunning elk bulls were photographed at Edendale Station, Canterbury, New Zealand. 

The elk are members of the Cervidae family, which includes caribou, deer and moose. Like their relatives, elk have massive antlers and long legs with cloven hooves.  

A male elk's antlers can grow up to 4 feet (1.2 m) above its head, making it around 9 feet (2.7 m) tall in all!
